Paul Sehubetjwane Maredi was born on the 28th of September 1968 in Jane Furse to the late Joseph Nthoneng Maredi and the late Martha Mamosotse Maredi.
He started school at Jane Furse and completed his high school education at Matsebong Secondary School in 1987.  He went on to further his studies at Pretoria Technikon, where he studied electrical engineering.
Thereafter he completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management and Administration at the University of Stellenbosch, and completed his Masters in Business Administration at Mancosa.
He started working at Sasol Synfuels in Secunda in 1993 as an electrical technician and spent 20 years working at Sasol occupying various roles specialising in electrical engineering and later migrated to specialise in Information Technology and Change Management. He left Sasol in 2013 to take up employment with Trafiqura, where he worked in the IT Department. Paul was a dedicated and hard-working individual who took pride in delivering work of exceptional quality. He was known throughout all global offices of Trafigura as a person who embodied the spirit of excellence.
He met his soul mate Lebohang Maredi and they wed in 2000, and continued to have a happy marriage until his passing. Paul was a kind and peaceful man, a loving friend and mentor.  He was determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned.  He was unendingly proud of Karabo, Kabelo and Lebo and always tried his best to support them.
Paul was also a passionate football supporter and could often be found hitting balls at the golf course when he wasn’t at home.Â
Paul passed away on 24 January 2021 after a short illness. He is survived by his wife Lebo, his children Kabelo and Karabo, his 3 younger siblings & three Nieces.

Will miss our walks through Sandton mall going to have lunch at the taxi rank on Mondays. Our chillas at your place downing the finest whiskey, laughing our hearts out, and always complaining about uJames ukuthi uyahlupha. Our stories and memories are endless and engraved in our hearts. As they say, you belong to the ages now joining your parents, forefathers and ancestors. To the Maredi family, your loss is heart felt by all and only wish for God to heal your pain and sorrow overtime.

Death, be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
For those whom thou think’st thou dost overthrow
Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From the rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be,
Much pleasure; then from the much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest of their bones, and soul’s delivery.
Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell,
And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well
And better than thy stroke; why swell’st thou then?
Once short sleep past, we wake eternally
And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die.
“Death be Not Proud”

Mngani I’m lost with words, I can’t imagine what u r going through Kodwa we shouldn’t be shattered and heart broken like people that don’t have hope. Jehovah ku 2 Cor 1:3-7 tells us he’s the God of All Comfort. So we have assurance that he’ll comfort us in times of tribulation. Psalm 34:18 Reminds us that Jehovah is close to the broken hearted. So we not alone during the difficult times we face. Be strong my friend.
