Death can be deep, hard, and indiscriminate. It has robbed me of a great friend. A good man…

Daddy was an inspiration to many and touched all of us who knew and worked closely with him. His warm and bubbly personality, forthright engagement and sharp wit immediately made him lasting friends with all who met him.

    A profound loss.

May his soul find peace, and may the universe converge for the family at this trying time. The pain endures, but time will heal…

Good bye my friend, rest in perfect peace. You were a pillar of support for me anytime I reached out to you. I recall the times that you say; “people must investigate things for themselves before coming to us man!”. That was your “teacher” side taking…and we will laugh over it. The last time I smiled at a status on your WhatsApp page, your feedback was “I really am, never know what might come out my mouth”, and again, I laughed it off and said “you’re cool all the same”. Truly, you were very cool and I am thankful to God to have shared in your journey here on earth. Rest well my friend.

Rest In Peace MacDad aka Sinbad aka Ice Cube.

I will always remember our early days in the 90’s chilling ko 7 and unit 2. Taking your brothers white “Mustang” to Bonanza bar. The music and the many jokes we shared including competing ko Top of the Bop pops Thaba Nchu.

Memories of chilling ko Disekwane and ko Menge finishing groceries watching music videos and taking nonsense will not depart from me.

Jack wa tla wa re ledisa monna.

I will miss that mischievous smile ya hao manizi 😁

Thanks for a stunning heart that was always supportive and never had judgement.

You were a light on a hill my brother.

I am at awe of the fact that, even from your hospital bed you were trying to help one of our brothers when we spoke the day before you went to be with the Lord.

You were a unifier and a genuine gentleman full of charisma.

At least I have many memories which I will play in my mind to remember you by..

Big ups my brother……..you were a gift to all of us and we will miss you BIG time.

    Death, be not proud💔

    BY JOHN DONNE

“Death, be not proud, though some have called thee
    Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
For those whom thou think’st thou dost overthrow
Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be,
Much pleasure; then from thee much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest of their bones, and soul’s delivery.
Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell,
And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well
And better than thy stroke; why swell’st thou then?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally
And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die.”

I don’t know where to start, words fail me. I really don’t understand why in life we must meet great people only to be given shortest time to live with them. My days ko head office will never be same coz i have been robbed of a cheerleader someone who always made sure i smile no matter how difficult things were. We would start work early so that we leave ka 15:00 people knew gore PTA Boys must leave early to avoid traffic. Who will guide me ka taba tsa le nyalo Jack and joke about things that our Wives do and say mara we love them. I’m so shuttered I remember you called me le Jennifer and she was complaining that you stole me from her since i knew her first mara you laughed and said her time was ko Liberty not e bank. I will miss you my Brother and may we meet ka daso and continue our conversations. Your Family was robbed a lavish life that you constantly spoke of gore uzobaphilisa yona but then again God had other plan. Lala Ngoxolo Mfowethu sobonana kwelizayo.

I’m still in shock, I just can’t believe you are gone. I will remember the times I would visit my sister who lives front opposite your house and I block ur driveway with my old small golf1 until and you never complained once but instead you asked me to park in your visitors parking. I’ll remember the time my daughter used to play with Motheo and you realized she couldn’t ride a bike and you taught my child how to ride a bicycle properly. My sister had such great neighbors in you and your beautiful wife and my nephew Mitha had a best friend in Motheo. Daddy was a daddy of all the kids in the complex. You and your wife always so kind.

I cannot imagine what the years we spent between those remote hills of Tweespruit would have been like without your fresh outlook and unique spirit. Your positive and pervasive influence persists still!

You were disgustingly awesome for real!🐱‍🏍

Sleazy. My Guy. I’m better off for having shared life’s journey with you. I still can’t come to terms with the fact that you’re gone. Thank you for the laughs and the stern talk. I appreciate both in equal measure. I’ll always remember our time together. My condolences to your beautiful family. You have left them among friends. Do let us know what’s on the other side. Much love. Always.

I am still trying to make sense of this situation and again we need to respect GOD’s will while we are grieving the loss of our beloved BigDaddy Mokitimi aka “Jack”. May your soul continue to rest in eternal peace and you will be solely missed.

Those arguments we used to have BigDaddy where you always believed and reminded me that my height was equivalent to my brains which translated that you had big brains because of your body structure.

    Go well Big Daddy

What can one say or do to ease the pain, our protector is gone, our advisor is gone, our comedian is gone, our brother in arms is gone. it a sad day indeed. We all know that death is the ultimate fate for all of us, but believe me when I say, its timing is very difficult to prepare for. Rest well Jack, Rest eazi Mc D, Ithoballe ka khotso Daddy, As we walk on in this ;life, we will remember your passion for sneakers, As time goes by, we will remember your love for watches. When some friends disappoint us, we will remember how you were always there to support us in a time of need. When music plays and we sing and dance, re tla gopola gore maan, o ne o le legakabe la 2 left feet, but had an ear and passion for good music. you are an inspiration to the way you loved your wife, your 2 boys and your princess. What a gentle soul. Anyone who spent the early 90s in Mafikeng/Unibo campus would have in some way been touched by the man’s amiable demeanour. A gentle giant, but you dared not push him too far. I still have vivid memories of him giving some bespectacled guy a hot one across face. The man learnt never to bother Daddy’s chick ever again! Rest well big guy, yours was a life well lived.
