Spacinah Ruiters was born on the 12th of May 1957 in Heilbron Phiritona, in the Freestate. She completed her Primary school education at Sandersville Laerskool and went on to complete her higher education at Dr Block High in Bloemfontein.
After completing her high school education, she then went to nursing college in East London in 1978.
She worked as a professional nurse for 40 years thereafter. She got married in 1982 to Michael Ruiters and they were blessed with 3 daughters.
In 1983 she relocated to Johannesburg where she further studied mid wifery and psychology.
She retired in June 2017 and lived a quiet life with her husband. After a short illness she was then hospitalized and sadly passed away on the 22nd of July 2021.
She leaves behind her loving husband, 3 daughters, a sun and 5 grandchildren.

She was more than a friend to me – she was my sister and even my family accepted her as my sister. She was precious to me. My heart is broken. I never knew that this day would come when I have to bid ‘good-bye’ to my friend. I already miss her dearly. I’m looking forward to seeing her in heaven.
