Nelly Zodwa Moshoane was born on 13 July 1957 at Barbaton. She was the fifth child of the late Mrs Rossa Jele (Ntlhane) and Mr Samson Mishack Jele. She started her school at Barbaton Primary school at Lydenburg, proceeded to Potlake Secondary school at Gankwana and completed her matric at Mogaputji at GaMathabatha. She further went to study in the field of Education at Oplelding at Tlhabane followed by obtaining her degree in Education at University of South Africa.
Her career started by her teaching at Platinum Mine Crech at Bleskop, then Boepatsopa preschool at Thekwane followed by Motsitle crech at Mamerotse and the last school where she taught and retired was Vuka preschool at Boshoek. She was passionate about teaching and was fortunate to meet most of the kids that she taught at foundation phase who were successful professionals. She was a very active member at Lutheran Church, Kroondal Parish where she was part of women’s league and a teacher at the confirmation school.
She married Mr Johannes Moshoane in January 1981 at Lebowakgomo and they were blessed with six children, Innocent, Portia, Ellie, Mosoro, Johannes and Grace. Sadly, Innocent passed on in 2006. She is leaving behind her beloved Husband, Five siblings (Three Sisters and Two Brothers) Five children (Three daughters and two sons), two Sons in Law and Seven Grandchildren.
