Mamatobako Elizabeth Setai was born on 5 February 1961 and was the daughter of the late Mokoai Abner Mokhele and Puseletso Elisa Mokhele. She was the 2nd born child in a family of 7 children, 2 of which have already departed this earthly life. She was born in Bethlehem and went to Thabang Primary School. She proceeded to Phuthaditjhaba Intermediate School, Mohaladitwe High School and finally Bonamelo Teachers Training College.
She began working at Savels Furniture Shop and went on to pursue her teaching career at Sephokong Combined School and was one of the best choir conductors in Phuthaditjhaba. She went on to teach at Bluegumbosch Primary School (Phuthaditjhaba) then Nteboheleng School (Botshabelo) and later at Emfundisweni Primary School (Johannesburg)
She entered into holy matrimony with the now late Tebello Patrick Setai and they were blessed with 3 children Matebello (Nono), Puseletso (Phila) and Neo.
She entered into eternal rest at Busamed Hospital on the 4th of June 2021 after a short illness and leaves behind her 2 daughters, 1 son, 2 grandsons, her mother and 4 siblings.
