Life journey

I, Lebogang Kale Mojatau, was born on the 8th of August 1979 to Sarah Mojatau & Themba Sekgotho.

I started my primary education at Andrew Chakane, then later proceeded to Namedi High & National School of the Arts. I continued to further my education in various Business Studies.

I acquired a special skill in hair aesthetics, specialising in dreadlocks. The gift I expressed, was loved by many and led to one of the iconic hair brand named – Modjo Corn Locks together with a close friend, Mondo. The brand grew and gave birth to numerous branches in the Gauteng and neighbouring provinces. The brand expanded to Modjo Hair Products which became the preferred dreadlock product for many hair salons.

My love for the art of business grew which made me to venture into the food industry, by starting “Gliss“. This brand gave birth to the Gliss Food Story which was a chain of fast food outlets catering for a niche market for those that appreciated delicious food. The unique taste of the food served created a demand for more branches with a new one in deep Soweto on the verge of opening. The intense desire to diversify in the business industry also gave birth to Leretlo Waste Management and Pest Control.

I repeatedly saw a number of individuals adequately provided for and found satisfaction when their families benefitted from my gestures – this continuously filled my heart with warmth and satisfaction.

I was born a fighter and I departed as a feisty fighter. I am survived by my children, my wife and my Mojatau family.

Kindly allow me to say “Good Night”.

My race is done so Says the Lord.

I lost a brother and a true friend.. Friendship transcends death. Memories made will never be forgotten and created a lasting impression on those they left behind. Everyone became a better person for having such a wonderful friend.

You were enough. We made it out the hood and lived our dreams.

    Rest in Eternal Peace
    Till we meet again..

I am lost for words. I may have known you briefly but your hospitality and friendliness made one feel they had known you for decades. Your smile and laughter were contagious. Death has robbed us of yet another kind hearted soul. We may not have all the answers but like the Bible says ,’The Lod givers and the Lord Taketh away…’

    May you rest easy Mojatau…

A true giant in all meanings of the word. Your personality as you walked in any room couldn’t be ignored, you did this however not with intention to overpower others but to make their presence felt too. There are many memories I hold dear with you, Nons and I. But one that makes me laugh out loud to date is when we were en route your home in Krugersdorp and were stopped by the metro police. They definitely wanted us arrested, you kept quiet the whole time and pretended to be asleep until we arrived, scared beyond imagination. We joked about how you’d visit us the next day had we been arrested for breaking the law. Lol. A true visionary, a creative and lover of the arts. A loving son, brother, Grandson, father and a true partner to my friend. Tsamaya ka kagiso, Mojatau. Modimo a go amogele with warm and loving arms. May your spirit find rest in the presence of the almighty.
    Till we meet again 🤍

Where do I even begin. A visionary, a creative, oh man, a lover of arts. A lover of the finer things in life.
There is so much to say but words fail me. I am deeply saddened by your passing Mojatau. It hurts but I trust you in a much better place without pain.
Rest till we meet again ❤

It’s hard to believe that we have lost such a wonderful guy who loved his family and friends. Always there to crack a joke and never too shy to live his truth and conquer his dreams. Who’s going to repremand me for having way too long conversations on the phone with his wife before family time. Robala ka kgotso Mojatau. #Foreverloved

My deepest condolences to both families,
May God comfort you and the kids,
May he cover them at all times that they may grow to know God as their main father and Lebo as their angel in heaven.
Stay faithful Nonhlanhla and remember Job who lost almost everything but God gave it back 100×. We may not understand his ways but he is watching over us.
May his soul rest in peace.

My friend, my brother, my “Moj”…took me a while to find words to express.
Your life was that of Principle – your words and actions were always aligned. You never said anything that did not speak to your truth and you kept all your promises.
Your life was full of passion- all that you encontered you fully immersed yourself and embraced with your all- your absolute passion! Your collection of beautiful things and people was evident to your zest for life and hunger to live.
Your life was of purpose – you lived with intention, you made a difference every single day, and you shared generously with us all. Yours was to leave this world better than you found it – PURPOSE FULFILLED!
Your life had impact- before the buzzwords “Township economy” you pioneered and your vision and purpose provided employment to many, carried families, took children to school and provided homes for all that worked with and for you. You legacy will never be forgotten both in the physical and the psychological lives of hundreds.
You were my protector on this physical realm and I feel truly blessed to know that I have gained you as one of my angels.

Thank you for a true and close friendship for since 1995.
    Rest in Love
    Rest in Beauty
    Rest in Honor
    Rest in Peace.

You will forever be in my heart and spirit!

I love you forever my brother.
